NT Labs Koi Care - Koi Calm
When to use?
Use Koi Calm to make it easier to handle sick or injured fish in order to apply topical treatment.
How to use?
- Have everything ready to carry out the procedure on the fish.
- Catch the fish from your pond using a suitable fish catching net, then use a transfer tube to lift the fish from the net to the bowl of sedate.
- Add the correct dose to the body of water you intend to sedate fish in and mix. Then slowly and gently add the fish.
- Once sedated, lay the fish on a soft, wet surface (e.g. a wet towel).
- Return the fish to clean, aerated pond water in order to allow the fish to come round from the sedation. Hold the fish upright idealy under an airstone to allow the oxygen bubbles to flow over the gill fillaments.
Dose:
10 drops of NT Labs Koi Calm to 5 litres of water. Wait 5 to 10 minutes for the koi to become calm and placid
Warning:
Do not leave fish unattended in the Koi Calm bath.
Do not rush or panic.
