The Cetus Sieve is a totally new, bow screen pre-filter, made using the latest rotational molding technology. With all of its benefits and build quality, it is undoubtedly the best of its kind on the market today, regarding quality and performance! It is designed to efficiently and effectively remove large amounts of mechanical waste from a pond. It can be set-up gravity OR pump fed and has many benefits over the original bow screen technology.

This Cetus has a variable inlet height using the unique patented Pondflow regulation system – for use when gravity fed. This allows water levels within the pond to drop without causing the circulating pump to be starved of water. The Cetus will allow a skimmer or a bottom drain to accept vast amounts of waste without excessive cleaning needed to be carried out. The water must then be pumped to either a normal filter above pond level (Nexus Eazy/Eazy Pod) or to a pressurised filter.

If pump fed, the sieve is placed above pond water level and then the exit water is gravity dropped into your main filter.

The Cetus sieve is a bow screen pre-filter, suitable for pre-filtration of any biological filter including all pressured filters. It is advised that all pressurised filters be pre-filtered using a Cetus to reduce excessive backwashing and maintenance due to heavy solids.

The media is engineered in a wheel shape and is slightly positively bouyant. This allows a small amount of water flow to circulate the media throughout the vessel. This flow is created with your air pump and air stones or diffuser etc.

Bio Chip - Since the development of the Kaldnes Moving Bed process and its successful introduction into the waste water treatment industry in 1991, Kaldnes K1 media has become the industry standard throughout the world. However Kaldnes have not been idle and they have continued their extensive Research and Development programme to further improve the efficiency of their process over the last 12 years.

The Bio Chip is the result of this programme and is much more than just a different shaped media. Although the total protected surface area is more than 2.4 times higher than K1 - this is only part of the story.

Evolution Aqua silkworm pupae are an excellent and powerful supplementary feed for koi. Made from the highest quality silkworm pupae, they are carefully dried out to retain all the goodness with no additives or preservatives included. This product is an ideal food due to it being rich in proteins. It not only increases the growth rate of your koi but also enhances the colours. Silkworm pupae can be fed as a daily 'treat' or as a powerfood at maximum of 30% of total food volume. Due to the high protein and fat content values, it is recommended not to feed below temperatures of 15C/59F. To improve the digestion ability of your koi further, put the pupae in warm water for half an hour before use.

EA Shrimp is an EXCELLENT natural food for great colours, skin and growth. HIGH nutritional value and easily digestible protein which dramatically improves the koi's internal system.

The 'Red Gammarus Pulex' freshwater shrimp is an ideal supplement to your daily koi feed. They are high in digestible protein and carotene (vitamin A and it's provitamins) which stimulate the natural digestive process in koi. They contain a natural colour enhancer and have a high nutritional value.

Gammarus Pulex are only found in the cleanest, most unpolluted waters in the world. These particular shrimps are selected and harvested from the clearest streams in the Arctic. They cannot survive in any type of polluted water and so are very healthy and 'clean' food for your koi. It is best to feed the shrimps just before your normal koi food, as it will stimulate the digestive process enormously - it will also boost their vitality and colours.
