Innotec Adheseal - Underwater Sealant

PTFE Thread Tape
Thread seal tape or "plumber's tape" is a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) film for use in sealing pipe threads.
The tape is wrapped around the exposed threads of a pipe before it is screwed into place.
Since the PTFE is malleable, deformable and impermeable, it acts a little like putty under compression, being forced into small gaps between threads in order to create an air- and watertight seal when threaded into a joint.
The tape is commonly used commercially in pressurized water systems, such as central heating systems, as well as in air compression equipment and thread joints with coarse threads.
PTFE Tape is applied to all fittings with male srew threads.

Wet R Dry Solvent Cement
Solvent weld pipe glue
For use with small diameter black solvent pipe or pressure pipe.
Works in dry or wet conditions
Fast drying.
Not to be used underwater.
Note
As fittings get larger in size their is more "play" between the fitting and pipe and thinner glue struggles to take up this "play" which can result in unwanted leaks.
Wet R Dry Solvent Cement is a thin glue and works well on pipe fittings up to 2" in size.
For gluing 3", 4" and 6" fittings better results are acheived using the thicker "Tangit All Pressure Glue"
